Olan Flick has been in the upholstery business for over 15 years and is continuing a family tradition. As a teen, he worked in his father's shop in California. After graduating from college with a degree in psychology and dabbling in the field, Olan returned to what he loved -- upholstery. He enjoys the creative and artistic challenge of turning a shabby piece of furniture into something new and creating custom-made heirlooms for his clients. In addition to working in the private sector, Olan has also done a considerable amount of commercial work in the marine and aircraft industry. He teaches upholstery classes in the Puget Sound region and has produced his own video, "Reupholstering That Old Chair," for those interested in learning the basics of upholstery.
